Snow

Atop the Mourning Trees rests snow just waiting to be collected, balled up, and thrown at the nearest adversary! By shaking the Mourning Trees, players can acquire and pack away snowballs to throw, covering their target in snow. Snow-covered targets will be demoralized and unwilling to throw back at their attackers for a while. Snow will only be available during Winter, but it won't melt in your inventory!

Finding Snow

During the Winter Season players can find find and collect snow multiple ways;

  • Collecting snow off of Mourning Trees. (Yields 1 Snowball)
  • Collecting snow from Snow Piles, found on the ground. (Yields 5 Snowballs)
    • A Krampus could jump out and attack an unsuspecting player (or perhaps the player was looking for him).
  • Killing monsters thats drop Snowballs, such as the Yeti.

Uses for Snow

Snowballs can be used in a variety of activities.

  • Snow Fights: Throw snowballs at other player's faces! Being hit results in having your face covered in snow, and not being able to throw any snowballs yourself, until you've recovered. Oh no!
  • Snow Sculptures: Snow Troll, Snow Dragon, Snow Zagharu, and Snow Fort.

Snow Sculptures

Snowballs can be used to make Exterior Decorations called "Snow Sculptures." These decorations do not get burned down like normal decorations, instead they can be torn down by anyone (this does not make you an enemy of the owner). Tearing down a decoration gives you (the destroyer) half of the Snowballs it took to make it.
Check the Snowball Item to find the option to construct these.
Throwing a Snowball at someone can stop them from tearing down any Snow Decorations.

  • Costs 20 Snowballs to make
  • Can be torn down by anyone in 15 seconds for 10 snowballs

  • Costs 30 Snowballs to build
  • Can be torn down by anyone in 15 seconds for 15 snowballs

  • Costs 50 Snowballs to build
  • Can be torn down by anyone in 30 seconds for 25 snowballs

  • Unique ability to protect nearby players from having snowballs thrown at them, but it also prevents the throwing of snowballs.
  • Costs 100 Snowballs to build
  • Can be torn down in 40 seconds by anyone for 50 snowballs
